About the service
The set lending service now boasts 3,000 orchestral sets and over 300,000 vocals sets, which are available for loan to groups throughout the UK - a collection that is matched by very few others.
Performance sets are available for loan to music and drama groups. These include a large collection of orchestral and vocal sets, wind band sets and part songs. Single copies of vocal scores and sets of chamber music can be borrowed by individuals.
Hiring Music Sets from the Music Library
We offer the UK's largest collection of orchestral, wind band, chamber, vocal, part song, and drama sets. Formerly the Yorkshire Music Library and Wakefield Music and Drama Service, our performance sets are available for loan to music and drama groups throughout the UK.
Requesting Performance Sets
Any musical, theatrical, amateur, professional, educational, or hobbyist group can register for this service. We operate as a mail order service or by appointment-based collection and returns via the central library.
Group membership is free. To become a member, provide details of two group representatives who will take responsibility for hired sets. Different charges apply for groups outside Yorkshire. Email us for a registration pack.
Book a Music Set
Bookings are accepted via email with at least 2 working days' notice. Confirm your booking with all necessary information, including edition/publisher and dates. Collection and returns should be booked via email 2 days in advance, confirming times and locations.
Available Score Sets
Check our library catalogue for available performance sets. Use the advanced search with the composer and/or title, selecting "Music Library" and "Music sets choral" or "Music sets instrumental."
