Digital Drop-ins
Join us at this Digi Drop-in Special where we will be celebrating Leeds parks and green spaces by browsing a specially curated digital gallery of archive photographs on Leodis.net.
Either bring your own device or use one of the library PCs. There will be librarians on hand to offer digital support and plenty of books to inform and inspire.

Story and Rhyme
Across the city, we will be celebrating our love of nature this week with regular story and rhyme sessions introducing little ones to the idea of caring for the world around them. There will also be plenty of age-appropriate books to borrow on themes relating to looking after our planet.

Green Libraries Week Code Club Special
Join us for green themed Code Clubs this Green Libraries Week where we'll be coding solutions to clean up our oceans and reduce recyclable waste going to landfill.

Green Libraries Week Whinmoor Social

As part of a Green Libraries Week special, our next Whinmoor Library Social will feature a visit from Groundwork’s Green Doctors. The Green Doctors can help residents stay warm, stay well, and save money on household bills.
A Green Doctor can help a household to:

take control of their energy bills,

provide practical solutions to reduce energy costs,

support residents to use their heating system and controls efficiently,
-
manage damp, mould and condensation,
-
reduce energy usage and waste and more
Green Libraries Week Garforth Social

As part of Green Libraries Week, Incredible Edible Garforth will be dropping in to share with us some of their fantastic expertise and inspire us all to have a go ourselves.
It's free and there's no need to book. Refreshments are provided.

Make your own energy saving device!
For Green Libraries Week we will be making draft excluders!
Please bring in a pair of freshly washed and dried jeans or cords and some rice lentils etc (out of date at the back of the cupboard is fine!)
A ribbon for the tongue if you have one too. Where possible staff can help with the machine sewing or give you a quick lesson.
